Manta Keyboard
A keyboard and mouse in one, usable with the feet, for people with upper limb disabilities.

Target: upper limb disability has a long-term negative impact on people's lives. Their inability to use the internet limits their ability to access information, communicate online, as well as their educational and recreational opportunities. User-centred design: the concept, which has evolved from the field of computing, should go further in terms of inclusiveness and innovation in human-computer interaction for further accessibility.
Few computer input devices are designed for people with upper limb disabilities.

- Note 01 People of all ages should have access to learn and get information from the internet, and the barrier of physical limitations should be eliminated to meet the needs.
- Note 02 So we developed the Manta keyboard concept based on user requirements. In everyday use, the ergonomic design will make it easy to access the internet while working or studying.
- Note 03 As a computer input device, it combines the functions of a keyboard and a mouse. The use of non-slip pads and an optimised keyboard layout enhance the user experience.

We interviewed users and built personas from what we heard. Sketches of the form then led to 3D modelling.
UN 17 SDGs: we are responding to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, trying to act as designers to reduce inequalities and promote quality education. Multifunction: the bionic shape of the keyboard, inspired by the manta ray, is designed for maximum comfort and functionality. The keyboard is integrated with a mouse, Bluetooth and charging. Its body is made from recycled marine plastic with a non-slip pad. Ergonomic: in the current scenario, users are enduring the wrong ergonomic uses. We studied the posture of the user and the distribution of the keys to find a better gesture for our users.
