What each page is made with, and what inspired it.
Design and icon set by the author, drawn from the Limbo mark. Coded with Claude Code by Anthropic on TanStack Start, React and Tailwind CSS; designed in Figma and synced with Lovable. Type is set in Instrument Serif, Instrument Sans, Outfit, Poppins, IBM Plex Mono and Silkscreen; the web fonts are served from this site, not from a third party. Scrolling glides with Lenis by darkroom.engineering, and pages change through the browser's View Transitions API.
The glass knob is a WebGL2 shader written for this site, with refraction, dispersion, Fresnel and a soft shadow. Springs drive the turning and CSS the reel. The glass colours are extracted from each project's cover. Its clicks are synthesised live with the Web Audio API and follow the studio's sound setting.
A 1-bit pixel world on canvas. The level and pixel art are art-directed by the author and drawn in code; every sound is synthesised live with the Web Audio API.
Inspired by Playdate, especially Casual Birder and Mars After Midnight, and by LIMBO from Playdead.
Project texts are adapted from the author's papers, reports, annotated portfolios and PDF portfolio. Teammates appear as initials. The growing mark on the Kombuchán page is generated in code, from a seed. The birdsong in the Carecast sounds is “Woodpecker and other birds on a spring morning” by Kyster, under CC BY 4.0, slowed and filtered.
Photographs are the author's own unless noted. The camera is a line-drawn SVG written for this site with the technique of Hairline by Lucas Markes; press it and the iris snaps shut.
Inspired by the Fujifilm X100.

Nothing on the web is free. The footer shows a rough estimate of the webpage’s energy consumption during your visit, written as CO₂e: the bytes sent to you, at 0.81 kWh per GB, plus an assumed 1–4 W for your device while the page is open, at 442 g CO₂e per kWh. The animated pages slow down and then stop when nothing is happening.
